About the Event
Formed in 2021 around a mountain-table gathering in Gito Plateau, Çamlıhemşin, Yayla Trio brings together three musicians with their own albums: Erdem Akın and Onur Can Çelik, beloved for their songs in the Eastern Black Sea region, and Sinan Kaynakcı, known from Pinhâni.
After countless nights of playing together in the highlands, the trio began performing concerts in major cities. Following their earlier folk releases, they put out Beraber Beraber in 2023, an album composed by Sinan Kaynakcı, and they continue to record new material.
On stage, Yayla Trio performs their own songs as well as traditional Eastern Black Sea horons and laments — in their purest form and with a rich, multi-voiced choral arrangement. Audiences naturally become part of this chorus, sharing the spirit of the region together.
