How do I create my own event?

Updated: Where this applies: App

Short answer

Can I sell tickets for my own event?
No. Paid, ticketed events can only be created by verified business accounts. Individual accounts can create free events.
Who can see my event?
You choose. The app offers four options: Contacts, Private, Followers, Public. Contacts and Followers can be combined.

You can create your own event in the app: a birthday, a meetup, a house party or a public plan. The flow starts from the plus button on the home screen and runs over three screens. The step by step walkthrough is in How do I create my own event.

Who sees it

You pick the visibility at the first step. There are four options:

  • Contacts · people in your contacts who use innclude
  • Private · only the people you invite
  • Followers · people who follow you
  • Public · everyone in the city

Contacts and Followers can be combined. Private and Public are each picked on their own, since the two are opposites.

Inviting people

For a private event you choose the guests yourself, from a list of the people you follow plus the people in your contacts who use innclude. With the other types the event opens to everyone the visibility setting covers.

Individual accounts cannot create paid events; events created in the app are always free. Selling tickets is only possible with a verified business account through the panel. That is not a restriction but a trust rule: it must be clear who is collecting the money.
