Short answer
- Will my ticket open if there is no data at a festival?
- Yes. Tickets and their QR codes are stored on your phone and the code is generated on the device, so no connection is needed.
The app’s offline behaviour has three layers.
- Fully works: tickets and their QR codes.
- Shown from cache: home, profile and event pages. They refresh on their own once you are back online.
- Needs a connection: buying tickets and payment.
Why the ticket always opens
The QR code is generated on the phone from your ticket number, so nothing is downloaded from the server. Your tickets are also stored on the device and stay there for a while after the event.
One condition: open the app once before the event.
