What are plans in your city?
Short answer
- What is the difference between city plans and events?
- Plans are created by individual users and are always free. Ticketed events are created by verified business accounts and appear in a separate feed.
- Do I need an invite to join a plan in my city?
- No. This list only holds public plans; tapping Join is enough.
- Which city does the list show?
- The city selected on the home screen. You can change it from the picker at the top, and with location permission on it can return to where you are.
Plans in your city lists the events people have created as public. The home screen shows the first few rows of this section, and see all opens the full list.
What appears here
Only plans whose visibility is set to Public. Contacts, Followers and Private plans never enter this list; those are seen only by the people the visibility setting covers.
Order
The list is grouped by day and starts with the nearest date. Scrolling down brings the following days, and when you reach the end it tells you the list is finished.
Joining
You open a plan and tap Join, which puts you in the participant list. There is nothing to pay: plans created in the app are always free. Change your mind and you can leave from the same place.
Where the ticketed events are
Events from brands, venues and organisers live in a separate feed. That feed has tickets, prices and sometimes seats; city plans have none of those. That is why the two are kept apart: one is what people you know and your city are doing, the other is an event you buy into.
