How do plans with people you know work?
Short answer
- Can someone who does not know me join my plan?
- It depends on the visibility setting. A Private plan is seen only by the people you invite, and a Contacts plan only by people in your contacts. Only Public opens the plan to the city.
- Do I need to sell tickets to create a plan?
- No. Events you create in the app are always free and do not include ticket sales. Selling tickets requires an innclude Business account.
- Who can see my plan?
- You choose while creating it. There are four options: innclude users in your contacts, only the people you invite, your followers, or everyone in the city.
innclude’s social layer rests on one idea: you already know who you want to spend the evening with; what is missing is where to go and who is free. The app answers those two questions.
Three steps
1. Create the plan. You start from the plus button on the home screen. A birthday, a house party, meeting at a bar: they all go through the same flow.
2. Choose who sees it. The first step offers four options and this choice decides everything about the plan. Details are in Who can see your plan.
3. Invite. If you created a private plan, you pick the guests one by one. With the other types the plan goes live and the circle you chose sees it in their own feed.
What the other side sees
Your plan appears on the home screen and the Friends screen of whoever your visibility setting allows. Anyone who wants to come taps Join and enters the participant list. You see who is coming from the event page.
Beyond your own plan
The same screen also shows plans in your city: plans created by other people that are open to you. Ticketed events live in a separate feed and are organised by brands.
If you grant no permissions
The app keeps working. You can discover events, buy tickets and create your own plan. Only the sections that show what people you know are doing stay empty, because what fills them is a contacts match.
