What information does creating a plan need?
Short answer
- Does creating an event cost anything?
- No, it is free. Events you create in the app are also always free for the people attending.
- Can I edit the event after creating it?
- Yes. From the three dot menu on the event page, Edit event changes the details and Manage participants changes the guest list.
- What happens if I delete the event?
- The event disappears from everyone’s feed and cannot be restored. The app asks for confirmation first.
The plus button at the bottom of the home screen starts the creation flow. You go through three screens.
1. Who can see it
You pick from four types. Details are in Who can see your plan; in short: your contacts, invited people only, your followers, or everyone in the city. Contacts and followers can be combined; the other two are picked on their own.
2. Event details
The Create event button stays disabled until all five fields are filled:
- Cover photo. Chosen from your gallery, with a crop step.
- Event name. At least 6 characters.
- Date and time. Start and end separately. The end must be after the start.
- Location. Picked on the map or by searching for a venue.
- Description. At least 20 characters.
If you go back, the app tells you the information will be discarded and asks for confirmation.
3. Guests
This step appears only for a private event. The people you follow and the people in your contacts who use innclude are gathered into one list to search and select. A private event is saved only once this step is done; with the other types the event goes live at step two.
Choosing a location
You can search for a venue name or address, or drag the map so the centre pin lands where you want. The address resolves on its own. If location permission is off, the map cannot find where you are, but search still works, so you can find the venue by name.
Afterwards
From the event page you see participants, share, edit or delete. People join with the Join button and leave if they change their mind.
